Elsa: la historia de un milagro/ Elsa ahistory of a miracle

Esta es Elsa. !Que suerte tuvo cuando alguien la vio atada al porton de un cementerio en un pueblo a 1 1/2 hora de Madrid! Estaba deshidratada, temblando de frio, era Noviembre, y en los huesos. Pesaba 7 kilos cuando la llevaron al veterinario! Lo normal en un galgo que este bien es que pese unos 22 kilos si es hembra. Imaginaros....Bueno, se ve en las fotos. La acogio una señora y la llevaron a especialistas para ver que le pasaba. Tenia una infeccion de huesos fulminante y empezaron con el tratamiento. Hay unos videos en la pagina de www.greyhoundsrescue.nl que merecen la pena ser vistos. Estan en la columna de la derecha baja el titulo ELSA. Iba arrastrando las patas traseras porque no tenia fuerzas. Poco a poco se ve como va mejorando. GRH hizo una colecta para recaudar dinero para el tratamiento y consiguieron ayudas para pagar el tratamiento costoso. Muy pronto hubo una familia que la quiso adoptar. Ahora a esperar que se pusiera mejor para poder trasladarla en avion. Vinieron a recogerla en Madrid y en las fotos ya se ve la diferencia. La familia que la ha adoptado tenia ya 9 perros, ahora 10. Que alegria poder hacer eso!! Cuentan que ya juega con los demas y que es feliz. La han llevado ya a un veterianario alli para seguir su tratamiento. Es largo pero se curara. Menos mal que hay buena gente por alli que salva lo que hacen los que no son tan buenos....para no usar palabras mayores!

This is Elsa. She was so lucky when someone who cared found her tied to a fence of a cimentary at 1 1/2 hours distance from Madrid. She was totally dehidrated and tembling due to the cold. It was November. They took her to the vet and she weight 7 kilos!!! Normal weight for a female is around 22. Almost dead. She had a severe bone infeccion. A good person took her in for foster at home and they started treating her. The case was pubished on www.grehoundsrescue.nl and donations were send to help paying the high costs of all the tests and medicines. If you look at GRH page you can see videos from her in the beginning, she dragged her legs when walking, terrible pictures...but look at her now! Totally recovered although she still needs treatment. Short after the publication of her story, someone in Holland decided to adopt her. They came and picked her up at Madrid airport and took her home where they have another 9 galgos and a Jack Russell....They say that she is playing and very happy.They took her to the vets and they have to continue the treatment with antibiotics till the end of March.

Lucky, lucky Elsa!!! Fortunately there are good people who solve what bad people do to their animals!!
